What People's Say About Place

Fresh and delicious sushi! The rolls were super flavorful and beautifully presented — the salmon/avocado roll and the crispy eel roll were both amazing. Portions are generous, fish tastes really fresh, and everything came out fast. Cozy spot with great service. Definitely one of the better sushi places in Seattle, would come back again!

I just landed in Seattle, and this was the first restaurant I tried- I am so impressed and happy with my decision! They were so nice, and all of the sushi was fresh, miso soup was high quality, garlic edamame was addicting and the pickled veggies were also great. Definitely check them out!! :)

Visiting Washington and on our Seattle day wanted sushi. Looked at a ton of places on line and saw this set away from downtown with great reviews, gave it a shot. This was one of the better meals I’ve ever had, happy hour gets you a $1.50 off select items and drinks. Got the fried pork gyoza (amazing) Garlic green beans (best I’ve ever had) Chicken karage (excellent, really good sauce) A lemon salmon roll (can’t remember the name, but also incredible) Very reasonably priced, friendly and prompt service, great atmosphere. I can’t say enough to let people fully understand how happy I was with this dinner. Go now!

Great sushi and amazing tempura! The hamachi is incredible and they have a really great selection of rolls with gluten free options. Some rolls have a bit too much sauce but overall great Japanese spot.

Tried out Sakana on a warm Friday evening and had a nice dinner! I want to highlight the excellent service and large food menu - both were greatly appreciated. Everything we received ranged from good to great, although I didn't adore my sushi deluxe order of nigiri. The shrimp tempura were especially good and I always love to see hand rolls available. It was pretty busy by the time we left so I'd recommend making reservations.

Probably one of our favorite sushi in Seattle area. The in laws and we were visiting Seattle and had done all the basic touristy stuff and wanted sushi and stumbled upon this place. Our server was wonderful, checked in on us plenty of times and made us feel welcomed. We sat down to complimentary appetizers. Then, we ordered two rolls, nigiri special, sishito peppers, edamame, hamachi and salmon appetizers. Every thing was delicious and fresh - absolutely no complaints and we have had our fair share of sushi everywhere. We even got a complimentary dessert! But I ate it too fast to take a good picture. Highly recommend, will be coming back. High quality sushi in a very comfortable environment. Parking was easy to find.

Uni and fatty salmon were As here. I'd come just for these two bites and will again. Assume the rest is good based on these two that often set places apart.

Sakana is our go to Sushi place; the sushi is great, fresh, and the portions are generous. But I also love the service and have only had great experiences here! Happy this is our local spot :)
